Laundry Day Just Got a Whole Lot Wilder

Sarett Nature Days at the New Heights Laundry Hub

This past Sunday, families at the New Heights Laundry Hub weren’t just tackling baskets of socks and jeans—they were meeting a real, live turtle.

This hard-shelled ambassador was courtesy of Sarett Nature Center, which is bringing its Nature Days program to the Laundry Hub on select Sundays—March 9, April 6, and June 8. Each visit features a different animal, a fun activity sheet (because learning should always come with a little hands-on fun), and—here’s the kicker—free family admission passes to the Sarett Nature Center for everyone who participates.

Why does this matter? Because nature isn’t just something you visit—it’s something you experience. And sometimes, the best way to experience it is to meet it up close, even if that happens between wash cycles.

So if you missed the turtle’s debut (he was a good sport, by the way), mark your calendar for the next Nature Day at the Laundry Hub. A new animal will make an appearance, ready to charm, educate, and maybe even inspire a new favorite family outing to Sarett.
Join us March 9, April 6, and June 8 from 2 to 4 PM!

Because nature is everywhere—even in the places you least expect it.
