Vehicles Help Improve Lives of Three Additional Families
New Heights Auto Ministry continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of local families, donating three additional vehicles to families in need during the first quarter of this year, bringing the total to six cars. These donations provide a lifeline for families who have struggled without reliable transportation, helping them regain their independence and stability.
The three families, each facing significant challenges without a vehicle, were chosen from a long list of requests for their perseverance and dedication to improving their circumstances. For them, the “hand-up” means more than just mobility—it’s an opportunity to access essential services, maintain employment, and give their children a better quality of life.
One recipient, Lexi, a single mother of four, shared how difficult it had been trying to balance her multiple jobs and family responsibilities without a car. "I was constantly worried about how I would get to work and how my kids would get to school on time. I relied on others, but it was so stressful and unreliable. This van is a game-changer for us," she said. With the donated van, she can now confidently manage her work schedule and care for her children.
Another mom, Allisa, expressed their gratitude for the life-altering gift, after losing multiple jobs as a result of unreliable transportation. She added, “It's hard to go to the store to get medicine for your kids without a car or to doctor appointments or hospital trips. If I run out of milk with my small kids I have to drag them out and walk in any condition if I don't find a ride.”
Brittany, another recipient, joyfully took her seat in her new van with the biggest smile.
New Heights Auto Ministry is dedicated to helping families like these overcome the challenges associated with unreliable or non-existent transportation. "Our mission is to provide hope and opportunity to those who need it most. Reliable transportation opens doors for better employment, education, healthcare, and we’re thrilled to have been able to help these three families get back on their feet," said Chris Britton, Executive Director of New Heights CCDA.
These vehicles were made possible through the generosity of supporters who donated their vehicles to the ministry. Additionally, the Auto Ministry is thriving, thanks to the patrons who bring their vehicles for service to New Heights Auto Services, enabling 100% of the profits of Auto Services to go to ministry.
As the year progresses, New Heights Auto Ministry remains committed to making a difference, one family at a time. For these three families, the vehicles represent a fresh start and the ability to move forward with confidence.
